One of the main things distinguishing LED signs apart from other signs is their striking brightness and long life. LED technology is unique in that it produces a brilliant, yet clear light that is easy to read both close up and from a distance. Also, it stands out boldly in the night and is even intense enough to see when the sun’s shining. This means that no matter what time of day, and regardless of whether your customers are walking or driving past, they can get a clear impression of your sign’s message or logo.
Adaptive Lighting
Adaptive lighting is a new development in response to the issues facing the planet and nature. Adaptive lighting reduces the light output of a sign gradually by up to 50% based on the theory that in complete darkness the sign does not require the same amount of light energy as in daylight hours.
Light output is designed to produce a constant 1620 l/pm2 through a white substrate this will reduce the actual light by 40%, = approx 180Cd/ per m/2. naturally, Actual power consumption per m2 = 18.76w, this will effectively reduce by up to a max of 50% = 9.38w per m/2 when in complete darkness, but will reduce gradually so no loss of effect producing a huge saving in power usage and light pollution over time.
Client running costs reduced by 40/50% these costs can vary dependent on supplier energy cost. Savings can be significant when time duration is taken into account.
